A Brilliant Day out at BeWILDerwood
Whilst on holiday in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk we decided to visit Bewilderwood – the attraction with “wild and imaginative adventure park with magical treehouses and a hint of intriguing characters”. I didn’t know what to expect, we had our daughter, Bella with us, who is 1 with us so she’s isnt quite old enough for many things yet but she likes to be involved and take part none the less. The whole attraction is set amongst a beautiful forest, with the environment forming part of the intrigue and story behind the place. The boat ride over to the main area was great – it was a small wooden boat with the story of the crocklebogs and twiggles being told on the way over. Once there we made our way to the play area for some fun for Bella on the slides and swings then over to the storytelling. The story teller was great, she had all the kids dressed up and involved in the story, doing actions and sounds along with the story. Further into the attraction we found den building, zip wiring, huge slides, jungle bridges, marsh walks, playgrounds, a maze and treehouses. All themed very nicely along with the story of the attraction and in keeping with the environment its build within. And to make it even better adults can play on anything too! The attraction is a great place to spend a day, younger children will be amazed by the story and the adventure playground built for the younger age group. Whilst older children will be able to zipwire and slide their way through the attraction – there’s something for everyone. Overall the park is clean, reasonably priced and despite being quite busy in the car park it didn’t seem too busy once in there. The whole concept of the attraction is simple and well thought out. The attraction offers a variety of activities and yet it has not spoilt the lovely environment as many attractions this size would do.

And of course, no trip would be complete without David becoming obsessed by the promotional merchandise they have to offer – which is a pretty impressive display from yoyos and pens to bags and t-shirts. They have branded everything they could think of, even down to the cups from the café’s and their gift shop has a great selection of branded goods and some niche handmade items which fit in perfectly with the theme of the place.

I was particularly drawn to goto this attraction as Mel had printed some yo-yo’s for them in the past. I was hoping to drum up some more business from their giftshop.
Instead we bought 2 lovely mirrors which are now hanging in our toilets.

I should probably point out that we didn’t actually supply any of the merchandise that I photographed. Although most of it can be found on our website.
